About Poster Contest
This is a virtual poster contest where industry experts and students can come and present their scientific knowledge through the medium of a poster. This is similar to the poster presentation at ConSPIC, however this will be conducted online. Joining link will only be sent to IASCT members. If you are interested to join the event, please become a IASCT members by signing in on this website. IASCT membership as well as this event is free.
- Participants have to register themselves for the event on the IASCT website and upload their posters within the due date 07-Dec-2020.
- The IASCT Program committee will then review the posters and notify the authors of the top posters under each of the sub-categories by 07-Jan-2021.
- The live event will happen on 21-Jan-2021.
- Each participant will be allotted 5 minutes to present their poster during the live event.
- The program committee will select the top 3 winners under each of the sub-categories (3 for Students, 3 for Biostatistics/Analytics and 3 for Programming).

- Industry (Colleagues from the clinical research industry/Pharma/CROs.)
There are overall 3 categories as below. The topics can be chosen by the participants while keeping in mind the broad categorization as mentioned below :
- Industry
- Biostatistics/Analytics
- Programming in clinical research.
- Student posters
- Anything related to statistics.
- Go to the IASCT registration page and register for this event. Ensure to fill in all the details that are requested.
- Prepare your poster based on the topic of your choice while adhering to the broad categorization.
- Upload the final poster as per specifications on the IASCT registration on/before the due date of 07-Dec-2020.
- Winners will be notified via e-mail. Hence, please provide an e-mail id that you check frequently.
- Information regarding which platform eg: Zoom, MS Teams etc will be used for the meeting, will be communicated well before the actual event.
- Registration will open from 01-Nov-2020
- Last date to register/upload your poster 07-Dec-2020.
- Authors of top selected posters (For individual categories) will be notified 07-Jan-2021.
- Final presentation/online presentation 21-Jan-2021.
- Winners will be announced by 21-Jan-2021 AGM (Annual General Body meeting) will also be held on the same day.

Kanimozhi Arumugam
Manager – Biostatistics, Agati Clinical.
Trained as a Biostatistician, she holds a Master’s Degree in Biostatistics. She has 15 years of industry experience in HealthCare and Clinical Research handling Biostatistics and Statistical Programming. Prior to Agati, She was associated with different organizations PRA International, Efficacy Life sciences, Ecron Acunova etc. Her technical skills include Biostatistics, Statistical Programming (SAS) and Data Standards (CDISC-ADaM ).
Kannan Murugaiyan
Senior Manager, Quartesian
Kannan has more than 14 years of experience in Clinical Statistical Programming. He has extensive work experience in Therapeutic areas such as Oncology, Respiratory, Dermatology, Cardiovascular, Neurology and Endocrinology across all phases of Clinical Trials. He ensures quality deliverables as an independent reviewer and handles Process Development/Automation. He is also involved in R-Programming capability developments for the organisation and a true People Lead who encourages & develops young talents.
Dr. Mahendra Bijarnia
Associate Director – Biostatistics, PAREXEL International (India) Private Limited.
He has more than 16 years of experience in social science and pharmaceutical research. He previously held leadership roles at SIRO ClinPharm, Novo Nordisk and Novartis. He has also worked as a Research Officer with Institute of Development Studies, as a Statistical Analyst at SWSHE State Monitoring Cell with Govt. of Rajasthan & UNICEF, Jaipur. As a Lead Biostatistician, he has been involved in providing scientific inputs to the clinical development plans, clinical trial designs, and responses to Health Authorities questions. He has several publication on collaborative research in medical and environmental toxicology. He obtained an Executive Diploma in “Leading Pharmaceutical Product Innovation”, from PwC, Copenhagen. Mahendra received PhD in Statistics from University of Rajasthan, Jaipur.
Dr. Pritam Gupta
Senior Manager – Biostatistics, Pfizer.
Pritam is currently working as a lead statistician for trials in rare disease and have also contributed to a vaccine study. He is contributing towards the development of the Biostatistics group in Chennai. Prior to this, he was with Novartis for 7 years, where he supported multiple therapeutic areas in the Global Medical Affairs group as a trial, lead and project statistician. Pritam has also contributed to planning and execution of exploratory analyses and statistical consultations, which has led to multiple publications in peer reviewed journals. He was also a teaching faculty for “Statistics for Non-statisticians” workshops and led the initiative for external outreach between Novartis and premier academic institutions in India. Pritam has received MS in Statistics from the University of Calcutta, India in 2008 and a PhD in Statistics from the University of Wyoming, USA in 2013.
Priya Govindasamy
Director – Biostatistics and Statistical Programming, Algorics
She is responsible for the day-to-day oversight and customer relationships for the Biostatistics and programming department at Algorics. Prior to Algorics, she held management roles in leading CROs including ICON Clinical Research, Chiltern and CROS NT. She actively participates in clinical industry forums like CDISC, PhUSE, and IASCT. She has several paper publications in International medical & technical Journals. Priya holds an M.Sc Statistics from Bharathiar University, India and currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Biostatistics at Periyar University, India.
Sankaranarayanan Premkumar
Director - Statistical Programming, Symbiance pharma solutions Pvt. Ltd.
Sankaranarayanan has around 14 years of experience in Pharmaceutical industry. Before joining Symbiance, he worked with CTS, Navitas life science, Ascon health and DePuy Synthes. His experience includes successful NDA/sNDS submissions, proficiency in Phase I-IV Clinical trials and therapeutic areas include Oncology, Neuroscience, Respiratory, Cardiovascular and medical devices. Sankaranarayanan has Masters in computer science from Anna university.
