  • Ajay has 10 years of experience in the field of SAS programming. He is working as a Senior Sas Programmer with ICON Clinical Research. He has completed his Bachelors in Electronics and Communication engineering. Worked in multiple therapeutic areas and multiple phases of clinical trials. His hobbies includes riding bikes and cloud photography.
  • Suvitha S
  • Suvitha is a lead programmer at GSK, which is a multinational pharmaceutical and biotechnology company. Currently, she works in projects which focuses on improving the health outcomes for infants & children who are impacted by or living with HIV. She has 6 years of working experience as a SAS programmer in various pharmaceutical companies. She specialized in ADaM standards in clinical trial of drug development process. She likes giving training to interns and freshers. She did her bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, Coimbatore. During her academics, she worked extensively on development of personalized health aiding devices using 3D printing, for which she also holds a patent on “Nylon Fabricated bone immobilizer using 3D printing”. In her free time, she likes to write short stories and traveling places.
  • Nishanth Nalan
  • Nishanth Nalan is a Director/Practice Head (Life Sciences) at ACL Digital, oversees Life Sciences Services and Operations in India. He also serves as Secretary of the Indian Association for Statistics in Clinical Trials (IASCT). He imparts his extensive knowledge as a visiting faculty at the Department of Biotechnology, Bharathiar University, engaging with the next generation of talent. Also, he is a member of the Board of Studies, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. Additionally, he extends his expertise to the Department of Data Science and Business Systems at SRM Institute of Science & Technology, Chennai. He holds a Master’s in Computer Applications (MCA) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Development (PGDHRD) from PSG CAS, Coimbatore. Also, he attended the Executive Education Programme at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), in Bangalore. His diverse expertise encompasses translating visionary concepts into actionable strategies, executing strategic plans, constructing resilient business infrastructures, fostering team development, leadership cultivation, and driving operational excellence.
  • Jagannatha PS
  • Jagannatha PS, a part-time Statistics Consultant at Eurofins-Optimed Clinical Research, boasts over 30 years of statistical expertise. Prior to Eurofins, he held pivotal roles for 17 years at Glaxo Smithkline Pharmaceuticals Ltd and 18 years at the National Tuberculosis Institute under the Government of India. His extensive career includes co-authoring publications, conducting biostatistics workshops, and presenting at professional conferences. As a founding member of IASCT, he has actively contributed for over 15 years, serving as the event committee chair for 2 years and Treasurer for 10 years. To him, IASCT is both intellectually and emotionally invigorating, offering valuable practical strategies and a unique platform for industry networking, bridging the gap between seasoned professionals and emerging talents.

Brief Intro about the event:

Application of data design and analysis has evolved gradually in Pharma Industry, leading to creation of new roles and responsibilities for the Biostatistics World.

This event will provide insights on the journey of drug development along with the three major role stream requirements viz: Statistician, Statistical Programmer and Data Scientist/Analyst.

The interactive session will help the students as well as faculties to get an understanding on opportunities available in Pharma Industry and how do they upskill themselves for the industry needs based on their aspirations/interest.
